        Great car for the value.

I had a Toyota SUV before, but it was totaled. The handling for it was nice, but the Equinox 26 is far more comfortable. I'm 6'2", and there's plenty of room for me to get around in. I did a lot of shopping around and the options that came with it couldn't be beaten for the price. I've had it a little less than a year, but I've only driven it around 2500 miles. I got the CVT transmission and it has been extremely smooth in shifting gears due to it's design. The engine is small, which likely contributes to the bad gas mileage some people report getting. I live in a rural area and get about 32 mpg on average with me going light on the gas pedal. When I'm on the interstate, I get around 35 mpg, up to my max of almost 38 mpg. I use the adaptive cruise control as much as possible and not speeding up hard or braking much. The engine has a nice little hum to it and isn't loud. It gets up to speed fast enough, when I need it. I can even spin the tires a bit, if I try to take off too fast. I didn't have any problems with the sound system, but I went in and fiddled with all the settings in the very beginning. This might help some people out who are having sound issues. The only problem I've had with mine was a very small oil leak, which is likely due to me not getting the oil changed soon enough. I believe they said the oil plug gasket was being replaced just in case, and it hasn't leaked since. For now, I'd still get the car again. Here's to hoping I don't get some of the issues others have.

        Best Equinox yet

by Mike on 4/8/2026 12:53:44 AM

This is our fifth Equinox and Chevy to us has outdone themselves.. We traded in a 2023 Equinox, hated the transmission so we went with a AWD to get the 8 speed transmission.. It can be a challenge to drive while being fun with all the safety features and LED dash and lighting, especially the adaptive cruise for one.. Would like to see more color in the interiors..

        2026 Equinox

by Ralph Molter on 3/8/2026 3:04:36 AM

We got our 2026 Equinox last December 30. We both love the suv. We had a Treverse and decided get a smaller suv. We are very happy with our Equinox. It is great to have a smaller suv.
